History

1889
In 1889, a three-story building with an elaborate red brick and sandstone façade was built for the YWCA. The first floor housed an indoor swimming pool, while rooms on the second and third floors were rented to YWCA members and their guests.

1912
In 1912, another three-story building was constructed on the same street, this one featuring pressed brick, granite trim, and a yellow brick façade. Built for tailor John Rugheimer & Sons, the building became part of the collection of historic structures that would eventually form Fulton Lane Inn.

1992-1994
After serving as apartments for a time, the buildings underwent a complete renovation from 1992 to 1994. Modern baths and other conveniences were added while original historic features were thoughtfully preserved.

2008
In 2008, the buildings were connected by interior hallways, bringing them together as the 45-room Fulton Lane Inn guests know today.
