First Friday Artwalks

One of Charleston’s best traditions, First Friday Artwalks are a way of debuting the city’s vibrant art scene. This special occasion occurs on the first Friday of every month (excluding January and July) and highlights dozens of art galleries and studios across the entire city. This is your chance to check out local art studios and mingle with local artists.


2nd Sunday on King Street

When: October 8 (Every month on the second Sunday)
Where: King Street from Queen to Calhoun Street, Downtown Charleston

Discover the charm of King Street without the hassle of traffic! You can explore the street and discover a selection of carefully chosen artists showcasing their work, as well as unique food vendors and other delightful surprises. Charleston’s Farmers Market

When: Saturdays, April 8-November 25, 2023 | 8 am- 2 pm
Where: Marion Square | 329 Meeting Street, Charleston|

Located on Marion Square, this weekly event features over 200 vendors, ranging from fresh produce to baked goods, and even crafts. These vendors are all local farmers, with fresh food grown right in the Lowcountry. The market also features live music so you can enjoy some entertainment while shopping. The Farmers Market is a great way to kick off your Saturday in the Holy City.


MOJA Art Festival

When: September 28-October 8
Where: Various locations in Downtown Charleston

Moja meaning “individual” in Swahili, is a multi-disciplinary festival that highlights the rich history of African-American and Caribbean Arts and their contribution to Western and International cultures. Festivities will include visual arts, classical music, dance, gospel, jazz, poetry, music, storytelling, theater, children’s activities, crafts, ethnic food, and more. 


Riverfront Revival Festival

Preservation Society of Charleston Fall Tours

The Fall Tour offerings are designed to maximize the educational experience for guests while minimizing impacts on the historic district.
